Elyse SchajerAssociate Attorney
Prior to joining Edward I. Sumber, P.C., Elyse spent four years as an attorney in the Manhattan office of Hogan & Hartson, LLP, in the Corporate, Finance and Tax Department, Real Estate Group. During the preceding five years Elyse was an attorney in the Manhattan office of Duval & Stachenfeld LLP in the Transactional Department, Corporate and Real Estate Groups. She received her Juris Doctor degree at the George Washington University Law School where she was a member of the International Law Review and the Student Bar Association and she received her undergraduate degree from Tufts University in Social Psychology and Studio Art. During law school Elyse was a law clerk at the Federal Communications Commission in the immediate office of former Commissioner Andrew C. Barrett as well as a law clerk at the Federal Trade Commission, Bureau of Competition, Non-Mergers II Litigation Division. Elyse is also a studio artist with an extensive background in drawing, painting and illustration. She is a patron of the arts and has done pro-bono work for artists including the structuring and formation of corporate entities and the drafting and negotiation of commission agreements.
